How does our process change the game?
Saratoga Energy developed and patented molten carbonate electrolysis process to convert carbon dioxide into graphite and oxygen. Unlike conventional processes that refine crude oil into graphite using fossil fuel heating, every step of Saratoga Energy’s process is electrically driven and can be powered by carbon-free renewable energy.
In addition to lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles and grid energy storage, graphite is central to the manufacture of several products and materials that are central to Net Zero 2050 goals including green steel, aluminum, silicon, fuel cell, and nuclear reactors.
